LIVE COUNTRY MUSIC ALBUM RELEASE

Heather has once again teamed up with local band Live Country Music, creating the art
for their second album. Come out for a lively evening of great music and dancing to
celebrate the release of Long Hard Season.

When: Saturday, September 16, 9 p.m. onwards
Where: Canadian Corps Association Legion Hall, 201 Niagara Street (near King and Bathurst)
How much: $5 at the door

From the LCM press release:

In its sophomore release, the group has stepped up its game, offering up a tight collection of
country-stained stompers, soulful ballads and cheek-to-cheek dance numbers. Ever-present on
the new album is the tension created by the distinctive styles of the band’s two songwriters,
which, while different, play off each other in an original way. Listeners will be rewarded by
a charming set of finely crafted songs performed with enthusiasm and experience. While
influences range from the Band and Bob Dylan, to Billy Joel and Al Green, Live Country
Music
forges a unique sound enjoyed by purists and hipsters alike. Artist Heather Goodchild,
a close friend of the band, has created an exciting band aesthetic over the last two years and
her beautiful handiwork is again evidenced on the package of Long Hard Season.

Peering through the front window, listen and watch as the character Nemirov sings while
Goodchild’s symbols from a new lexicon of love float in shadow across his face and into the void

latest audio recording, drift into the street.
